Mineral Specimen #2887    Malachite Pseudomorph after Azurite

Tsumeb, Namibia

Malachite has replaced a large blocky crystal of Azurite. The surfaces of the specimen show interesting growth patterns which display chatoyancy. The middle of the specimen is partially hollow. The specimen is in excellent condition with appreciable damage.
