Mineral Specimen #269 Vesuvianite variety: Idocrase
Lake Jaco, Sierra de la Cruz, Mun. de Sierra Mojada, Coahuila, Mexico
A very large, single, double-terminated, blocky crystal of the Vesuvianite variety Idocrase. One end of the crystal is composed of one termination while the other end is composed of multiple terminations. There are also black Grossular garnet crystals perched on the Vesuvianite crystal. The specimen is in good condition.
