Ilfeld, Nordhausen, Harz, Thuringia, Germany

Type Location

On this specimen, Manganite is found in three spherical aggregates. The crystals are stacked on top of each oriented in seemingly random directions. The color is a dark gray with a very high luster. The peach colored Barite matrix contrasts nicely with the Manganite. The specimen is in good condition, although many of the crystals on the second largest aggregate have contact points.
