A stack of Hematite crystals rise from the surface of a cluster of double terminated Smoky Quartz crystals. Golden colored Rutile crystals have grown epitaxially from the Hematite downward at an angle to the Quartz. There are more Rutile needles scattered across the surface of the Quartz at the base of the stack of Hematite crystals. Elsewhere, there is some Rutile included in the Quartz as well as some small Hematite crystals. The Quartz is a light smoky color with good transparency and luster. The specimen is in good condition with no appreciable damage to the terminations of the Quartz. Likely, not all of the Hematite and Rutile crystal are complete on the stack of crystals. Interestingly, there is a light green colored unidentified mineral on the bottom of the specimen. This looks like some kind of phosphate but does not match anything listed for the location.
