This is a new location from Bahia for Rutilated Quartz. Due to a mass of Hematite crystals on the back of the specimen, the overall color of the specimen is fairly dark. The Quartz crystal ia transparent. Its habit is long and tabular. There is a large Hematite crystal at the base of the Quartz with a small Quartz termination on one side of the Hematite. The specimen is in good condition; however, none of the Hematite crystals is complete. There is also a contact plane from a missing Hematite crystal on the side of the termination of the Quartz.
