Mineral Specimen #226 Tourmaline, Siderite, Quartz
This specimens has masses of dark colored indeterminant Tourmaline needles. When the specimen is moved, a brass colored flash is observed. Under a 10x loupe the needles are a transparent brown. The species of Tourmaline is probably Dravite. The off-white main crystal is a large Siderite crystal. There are also white Quartz crystals, some small crystals of Siderite after Fluorapatite, and some small, flattened crystals of Dolomite.
