Mineral Specimen #212  Willemite, Calcite and Franklinite Sphere

This fluorescent sphere is from the collection of one of the old miners from the Cave-In-Rock district. The green Willemite and black Franklinite is nicely distributed throughout the orange/red Calcite (and is a brighter green than these pictures depict - the third picture has probably the truest color and was included for this reason even if a little out of focus). This is the type location for Franklinite. The sphere is between 41 and 43 mm is diameter.
