Mineral Specimen  #205 Pink Topaz with Uvite Tourmaline, Magnesite and Quartz

Brumado, Bahia, Brazil

Here is a specimen of the very rare pink topaz. The crystals are rather small but the best are gemmy and terminated. The color is a bright pink with a hint of lavender, This specimen is especially nice because the Topaz crystals contrast nicely with the green Uvite. Sad to say, the Uvite crystal is not complete. The Magnesite (which is the ore at Brumado) is tinted a bit with iron staining.
