Mineral Specimen #1751    Bicolor Tourmaline on Muscovite

Stak Nala, Haramosh Mts., Skardu District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan

A gemmy crystal of Elbaite Tourmaline perched on the edge of a plate of Muscovite crystals. The colors of the Tourmaline are pastel shades of pink at the termination and green at the base. The termination is beveled and complete. The specimen is in very good condition with no appreciable damage. The Muscovite is white with the faintest of pink tints. There is a white powdery unidentified material on the Muscovite crystals.
