Mineral Specimen #171 Cobaltoan Dolomite
Imiter Mine, Boumalne-Dades, Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draa Region, Morocco
The Dolomite crystals on this specimen has been colored by Cobalt a shocking pink (they seem even brighter in person). There are also Quartz crystals, and some off-white Calcite. The matrix is composed of a massive dark gray metallic material which is persumably some type of Sulfide or Sulfosalt. The Dolomite crystals are in good condition, but some of the Quartz crystals have snapped off.
