Mineral Specimen #1683    Dioptase

Arizona

This specimen was in the Don Langham collection. In his records, it was just labeled as being from Arizona. There is a layer of sparkly micro crystals of Dioptase. Some of the Dioptase is covered with a layer of white material which is either Selenite or Calcite. With the exception of the damage to the white material, the specimen is in fairly good condition.
