Mineral Specimen #147 Muscovite replacing Lepidolite
Barro do Salinas, Minas Gerais, Brazil
This is a rather complex and interesting mica specimen. The center of the specimen is Lepidolite, but with distinct areas where the color is considerably different. The exterior is composed of stacks of pale olive green Muscovite crystals. There are also white Albite crystals present on the surface. The non-cleavage plane surfaces are in very good condition.
