Mineral Specimen #1341 Schorl Tourmaline and Specular Hematite
Champion Mine, Marquette County, Michigan, USA
Prior to 1975
This is an unusual combination of Shcorl Tourmaline with specular Hematite. This is contact material where intrusive pegmatic material, which produced the Schorl, came into contact with the sedimentary specular Hematite. The Tourmaline has a good luster and the Hematite is quite sparkly. The Tourmaline crystals are not terminatied.
