Mineral Specimen #1337    Datolite

Quincy Mine, Quincy Hill, Houghton County, Michigan, USA

This Datolite specimen has been carved in a rather distinct shape. It has the good orange color for which the Quincy mine is noted. This coloration is due to micro inclusions of Copper. There is also some nice inclusions of green Epidote\ around the edges of the nodule. Please note, the polish on this specimen is a bit dull.
