Mineral Specimen #1335 Fluorite on Celestine
Tule Mine, Melchor Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico
The Fluorite on this specimen is composed of small water clear cubes which are purple only at the very edges. The layer of puple is so thin, the color shows best when the cubes are viewed from the side. The Fluorite crystals are perched upon Celestine which is snow white in color. This is typical of the Fluorite from this mine and classsic Mexican material. The specimen is in very good condition with no damage to the Fluorite. It does appear there may have been blades of Celestine which are now broken.
