Quincy Mine, Quincy Hill, Houghton County, Michigan, USA

This Datolite is composed of multiple nodules. Many of the nodules have pink to red color in the center which is due to micro inclusions of Copper. The specimen has not been polished but rather coated with a sealant. At an angle to the light, faint saw marks can be seen.
