Ba(Fe3+,Mn2+)2Ti(Si2O7)O(O,OH)2
The Bafertisite is the orange colored material seen throughout the specimen and pointed to with the red arrows. This is a very rare Sorosilicate with only 11 known world wide locations. The name of this mineral is one of the few mineral names which refer to the constituent parts: Ba for Barium, Fe for Iron, Ti for Titanium and Si for Silica.
