Mineral Specimen #1304 Huebnerite on Quartz
Pasto Bueno District, Pallasca Province, Ancash Department, Peru
Bladed crystals of Huebnerite perched on the sides of long, thin, clear Quartz crystals. The largest Huebnerite crystal is 10 x 9 mm in size. The color appears black although under close direct backlighting it can be seen it is a very dark reddish brown. The specimen is in excellent condition with no appreciable damage.
