Mineral Specimen #127 Sphalerite, Quartz, Andradite Garnet, Pyrite, Hedenbergite

El Mochito Mine, El Mocho, Santa Barbara Department, Honduras

A stunning museum size specimen of Sphalerite and Quartz and assiociated minerals. This specimen was collected May 8, 2001 at the 2210 meter level and was formerly on display in the office at the El Mochito Mine. The specimen has mineralization on all sides; thus there are pictures from a variety of angles. All of the light brown is Hedenbergite. All of the Sphalerite is damage free. There are a few broken Quartz crystals in the predominate radiating clusters.

Since this specimen is so large, all photographs which depict the entire specimen can be viewed in full size by clicking on the photo.

27 x 17 x 15 cm
