Kaokoveld Plateau, Kunene Region, Namibia

The Dioptase crystals on this specimen form a spherical aggregate in the middle of the specimen (this spherical shape is hard to see in the pictures). The color is the typical beautiful emerald green color Dioptase is well known for (the color is much better in person - Dioptase is most difficult to replicate with digital cameras). The specimen is very attractive and in good condition with the exception of one small broken crystal and another with an internal fracture.
