Quartz crystals coated with black Hematite which in turn is coated with small, clear crystals of Calcite. In person, this specimen has a great deal of sparkle. There is a stalacltic formation of Calcite coated with Quartz which has broken off revealing a reddish brown growth ring which is also likely to be Hematite. With the exception of the broken stalactite, the specimen is in very good condition.
