Cameroon pegmatite, Goabeb Farm 63, Karibib District, Erongo Region, Namibia

The Purpurite is bright purple colored l with a metallic luster. This contrasts nicely with the white Quartz and the reddish brown. Apparently, all the specimens from this location are washed in acid to bring out the color. This specimen has also been sealed to prevent it from darkening with time. The sealant is undetectable.
