Mineral Specimen #1184 Copper Crystals
Central Mine, Central, Keweenaw County, Michigan, USA
A large specimen of well formed Copper crystals in a generally dendritic formation. This is probably a recently found specimen. The dumps are currently still open to collecting (although disappearing fast since Keweenaw county, which owns the property, is actively hauling material away for road construction). It appears to have been recently cleaned and indeed has some Calcite in places which shows signs of having been acid etched.
