Mineral Specimen #113 Fluorite
Riemvasmaak, Siyanda, North Cape Province, South Africa
Fluourscent LW
This Fluorite octahedral crystal is a beautiful green with some zoning. It strongly fluoresces blue under LW mostly on one crystal surface. This specimen is part of a larger crystal. Four of the sides are crystal surfaces and four are cleavages. The non-cleavage sides (the faces) and the two corners where faces meet are in very good condition. I wonder if anyone has started making octahedrons from this material.
