Mineral Specimen #1053 Danburite Cluster
Charcas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico
A large cluster of Danburite composed of crystals varying in size. The larger crystals are between 2 and 2.5 cm in length. This is an older specimen from the early seventies. These specimens were often found in radiating clusters. Also, the color is pale and not as vibrant as the specimens from the 1990s and 2000s. Another distinguishing feature of these older specimens, is the presence of sulfides in the base (in this case Pyrite). The specimen is in good condition, although there are a few broken crystals which really does not detract from the appearance of the specimen.
10.8 x 9.4 x 5.5 cm
