Pea Ridge Mine, Sullivan, Washington Co., Missouri, USA

Two chocalate brown Fluorapatite crystals attached to Fluorapatite matrix. There are small micro crystals of Hematite and Pyrite at the base of the crystals. The crystals stand about 5 mm above the matrix. The largest crystal is 9 mm across. Both crystals are in good condition. Fluorapatite specimens from this mine are seldom available. The specimen has been glued onto styrofoam which has been in turn glued to the bottom of a 2 inch fold up box. The glue used was a white glue which can be removed by soaking in water.
