Mineral Specimen #1009 Bar Pyrite

Buick Mine, Bixby, Viburnum Trend District, Iron Co., Missouri, USA

This specimen is composed of two "bars" of Pyrite. Each bar is composed of multiple, parallel orientated crystals. These bar specimens were found in the early 1970s. This specimen has a very high luster. The specimen is in good condition, although it is a section of two larger bars without terminations at either end.
