A cross section slab of the famous Eden Valley Petrified Wood which exhibits the typical mottled black and brown colors. Growth rings can be seen but they are a bit indistinct. About half of the cross section is bordered by Chalcedonywhich is gray to white in color and translucent.
The specimen is in fairly good condition however, the polish is a bit dull and a couple of saw marks are visible.
