Mineral Specimen #923 Quartz with included Sagenite Rutile (Twinned) and Muscovite variety Fuschite
Junco District, Malacacheta, Minas Gerais, Brazil
This Quartz crystal has an unusual and attractive combination of inclusions. Included are some Rutile crystals which are a reddish brown color. The color is much redder than usually seen especially when the light is angled to create a good metallic reflection. There is also some very good green Fuschite crystals most of which are partially embedded in the Quartz crystal with a few completely included. The color of the Fuschite is a very bright green. It is rare to find good crystals of this form of Muscovite. There is also a partial phantom in the termination of the Quartz. The specimen is in good condition with just minimum wear on the termination. The vast majority of the Fuschite crystals are in good condition, although a couple are broken.
