Mineral Specimen #902    Datolite

Delaware Mine, Keweenaw County, Michigan, USA

This specimen consists of both halves of a Datolite nodule. It is uncommon to get two halves because most Datolite nodules are not round enough and thick enough. The reddish color is caused by micro inclusions of Copper.
