Mineral Specimen #895    Amazonite

Crystal Park, Jefferson County, Colorado, USA

This Amazonite crystal has very good color, especially on the termination plane. The other end of the crystal has cleavage planes with small, secondary Feldspar crystals growing on the planes. The specimen is in very good condition, although there are cleavage breaks at the base of the crystal on one edge and about a third of one side.
