Bingham Canyon Mine, Oquirrh Mts, Salt Lake Co., Utah, USA

Here are Rhodochrosite crystals from a seldom seen location. The crystals have grown on the ends of stalactitic Calcite where in places it has intergrown with the Calcite. The Rhodochrosite is colored rose to peach to orange. There is some damage to the Rhodochrosite on the left side of the central, top portion of the specimen.
