Mineral Specimen #871    Polished Chalcedony

location unknown

This specimen is highly polished and is translucent to almost transparent in the darker regions. This is similar material to that which bears fire agate. Although the exact location is not known, it is highly likely from southwestern US or northwestern Mexico.
