Mineral Specimen #859 Ball Lepidolite
Governador Valadares, Doce valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil
The Lepidolite on this specimen has formed a sphere with curved layers of shell like Lepidolite. The Lepidolite is a very dark purple color, especially on the bottom. The specimen has a high luster. In generally good condition, however, there a couple of places where a layer is missing from the surface which hardly distracts from the appearance.
