Mineral Specimen #731 Sand Included Selenite
Laguna Guzman, Mun. de Guadalupe y Calvo, Chihuahua, Mexico
This is a very interestingly formed specimen of Selenite with a number of crystals exhibiting parallel growth. This specimen was part of a Gypsum collection from the Don Langham collection. Don would exhibit this and other collections at shows around southern Michigan. The specimen comes with an exhibitor's ribbon from the 1970 Flint, Michigan show. The specimen is in fairly good condition with the exception that a few of the crystals on the sides have been cleaved which is evident in some of the pictures.
From the Don Langham collection
