Mineral Specimen #669 Coyamito Agate
Rancho Coyamito, Chihuahua, Mexico
This agate was cut and polished by Don Langham. It was part of his agate display which he exhibited at gem and mineral shows in southern Michigan in the 1960s and 1970s. The agate's strong dramatic banding with colors which range from butterscotch to peach to a dark pink. There are small red dots in the inner bands. The Quartz crystals in the interior hollow are a peach color (they appear to be clear overlaying peach colored agate). There are some dark brown small crystals on the Quartz crystals which are likely Goethite. The specimen is in very good condition with a very high polish. There are a couple of micro cracks.
