Mineral Specimen #655    Kinoite, Apophyllite, Gilaite, Ruizite

Christmas Mine, near Hayden, Gila County, Arizona, USA

Type location for Gilaite and Ruizite

Kinoite = Ca2Cu2(H2O)2[Si3O10]; Gilaite = Cu5Si6O17·7H2O; Ruizite = Ca2Mn3+2[(OH)2|H2Si4O13]·2H2O

The Kinoite is the dark blue crystals with clear Apophyllite with olive green massive Gilaite and minor rust brown Ruizite.
