Ex. H. R. McBroom from trade with Eric Otty, 1980
This specimen is from a small, obscure mine which was in operation sporadically between 1860 and 1966. Specimens from the location are rarely available. The Fluorite cubic crystals are well formed, light green in color, have a good, glossy luster and translucent to transparent. Also present are much corroded Galena crystals are a few small, opaque, white colored Quartz crystals. Under LW UV, the Fluorite vividly fluoresces in a similar fashion to Fluorite from other nearby locaiton for which the region is famous (in fact, the term fluoresence was first used to describe Fluorite from the region).
Condition: Good
Flaws: One of the corners of the largest Fluorite crystal has a small cleave. The second largest Calcite crystal has internal cleaves.
