Mineral Specimen #6422    Barite

Emerson, Bartow Co., Georgia

7 x 3.9 x 3.7 cm

Sold

A cluster of very nice, well formed, bladed Barite crystals with flat terminations. In general, the crystals are a light ocher brown color with dark brown interiors; however, there is some variation with some of the crystals being composed almost entirely of the dark color, others with the dark color only in the bottom portions of the crystals with the lighter at the top and a few crystals with none of the dark color and a couple of which are nearly colorless. The crystals have a good, glossy luster. Specimens from the location are seldom available although they are similar to some found at nearby Cartersville.

Condition: Excellent

Flaws: Nothing Appreciable
