Mina Quiruvilca (Mina La Libertad Mine), Quiruvilca Dist., Santiago de Chuco Prov., La Libertad Dept., Peru
9 x 6 x 3.6 cm
Ex. E. Morales, purchased from Kristalldruse, Munich Show, 1981
A mass of well formed Enargite crystals sprinkled with small, golden Pyrite crystals. The Enargite crystals are a very dark gray, almost black color and have a submetallic luster. The terminations are flat and in some places, there are no terminations but rather, flattened contact planes which are almost indistinguishable from the terminated crystals. This is a classic location for Enargite specimens.
Flaws: Nothing Appreciable
