A thin layer of Marcasite crystals covered on one side with twinned Calcite crystals. The Calcite crystals are well formed, translucent to transparent, have a high, glassy luster and are slightly off white in color. The Marcasite crystals are small but many are well formed. The color ranges from brassy with a slight green tint to dark gray with small patches of green. The luster ranges from a high metallic to a dull matte. An older specimen from a classic, Midwestern location.
