A perfect plate of small, black Sphalerite crystals with a very high, metallic, sparkly luster. This could actually be used for jewelry it is so attractive. The Sphalerite is iron rich and is referred to as Marmatite. The Sphalerite is actually only present as a thin layer over a mass of very small, compact Pyrite crystals which can be observed on the reverse side.
