Bor Pit (Boron Pit), Dal'negorsk B deposit, Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Far-Eastern Region, Russia

6 x 4.8 x 3.9 cm

This specimen looks like a piece of modern sculpture. At the top are two, elongated Quartz crystals below which is a stack of olive green colored Andradite crystals. Partially covering both are small, white colored Apophyllite crystals with a high sparkly luster. The Garnet crystals are well formed, translucent and have a glossy luster.

Condition: Very Good to Excellent

Flaws: One end of the Quartz crystal appears to be broken; but, there are Apophyllite crystals growing on the surface of this end indicating the damage was broken long before it was collected as a specimen. The rest of the specimen is in excellent condiiton.
