Blue green Smithsonite from one of the most famous locaitons for the species. The color of this specimen has a little more green tint to it than usually seen from the Kelly mine. The Smithsonite is very translucent when back lit. The color is richest in the interior with a surface layer which is nearly white in color, especially near the top of the specimen. The surface has a silky luster.

Condition: Fairly Good

Flaws: There are a few small internal cracks just below the surface which produces a lighter color in those places.
