An unusual shaped Quartz crystal which at one end has a flat, very smooth surface with a high luster and a dark, smoky color. When viewed from this end, the interior of the Quartz can be seen to be partially transparent. Not visible any of the phots (and discovered while writing this description) there is an area at this end of the crystal which has zoned layers of smoky coloration. The rest of the surfaces of the Quartz have a much lighter color and complex growth patterns. There is one place where there is a thin, flattened secondary Quartz crystal which merges with the main crystal leaving a long thin recessed area with a flat bottom. All of one side of the Quartz and part of another side is completed covered with small, clear to white colored Dolomite crystals sprinkled with small Marcasite crystals and few honey colored Calcite crystals. This mine was located far to the north, within the Arctic circle.

Condition: Good

Flaws: There is a cleave near the termination of the largest Calcite crystal. The second largest Calcite crystal has some bruising near the termination.
