The Tlalapallite is the material present asa thin coating around the dark gray colred Hessite. The location is the type locale for Tlalocite; the name of which is derived from the word, tlalpalli, which means paint in a local indigenous language in reference to its being found as a thin film on fracture surfaces at the location.
