Mineral Specimen #5182 Cobaltaustinite, Beta-Roselite
Aghbar Mine, Bou Azzer, Morocco
CaCoAsO4(OH) and Ca2Co(AsO4)2·2H2O
Two relatively rare species, dark green colored Cobaltaustinite and red violet Beta-Roselite. Unfortunately, most of the crystals are damaged with the exception of a few, micro Cobaltaustinite crystals. This is from a small collection from suburban Detroit and was in a European style clear box with a printed label on the bottom from Gunnar Faber.
Flaws: For both species, the crystals are broken.
4.8 x 2.3 x 1.2 cm
