Mineral Specimen #5163    Fluorite

Hilton Mine, Scordale, Hilton, Escarpment District, Cumbria, England

This specimen consists of light straw yellow colored cubic crystals. The surfaces of the crystals are very smooth and have a high, glassy luster and the crystals are transparent. The specimen fluoresces a blue violet color under LW UV.

Condition: Good

Flaws: There are two small areas with broken crystals.

8.6 x 5 x 1.9 cm
The largest crystal measures 5 mm on its longest edge. Most of the crystals measures between 2 and 4 mm.
