Mineral Specimen #5158 Red Iridescent Diploid Pyrite Crystals
Duff Quarry, Huntsville, Logan Co., Ohio
Pyrite crystals of the rare diploid habit with a rich red and gold iridescent. Although iridescent Pyrite is found at the Duff quarry, this particular color is quite rare. Due to the many surfaces on the many crystals, the Pyrite has a very attractive, sparkly appearance.
Flaws: A few of the crystals are partial.
