Mineral Specimen #5040    Dolomite

Simms Lode, Geevor Mine (North Levant Mine), Pendeen, St Just, St Just District, Cornwall, England

Ex. H. R. McBroom from trade with Sam Weller, 1985

The surfaces of this specimen is covered with well formed Dolomite crystals which are translucent and have a high, glassy luster. The crystals vary form a white/gray color to a light pinkish color.

Condition: Good

Flaws: There are two places where the crystals are broken, both are along protruding, ridged edges at the two ends of the specimen, one of which is a contact area.
